Most frequently asked questions & answers

Trails of Menorca offers a great variety of incredible hiking trails. Each trail is unique, has spectacular views and experiences. As your personal guide during these adventures, I provide insider knowledge, a great service and fun.

The ideal time is spring (March to June) and autumn (September to November) when temperatures are milder. But even in July and August hiking is fun, all of the trails can be hiked but we start earlier in the day. The sunrise and sunset trails are especially recommended at this time of the year.

Yes, we offer trails which are suitable for beginners as well as for moderate and experienced hikers. From easy coastal paths to more challenging and expert routes; there’s something for everyone. Be sure to choose a trail that matches your fitness and experience level. Contact me for more advice.

We require a minimum group size of 2 persons and a maximum group size of 10. If there is no group hike on the requested day, you would need to book a private tour for 1-4 persons (family and friends only). 

It is always worth contacting me to consider all options.

Essential items include: Water, snacks (included in our private tour), sturdy shoes (no flip flops), a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses and a swimsuit (if you would like to swim). A towel can also be borrowed. Depending on the season, also consider insect repellent and rain gear.

While Menorca is generally safe, it is essential to follow the do’s and dont’s of your expert guide. Inform our guide in advance about possible health issues and keep in mind to stay hydrated. Water will be provided.

Yes, some trails pass by stunning beaches and coves. Feel free to take a refreshing dip, but remember to bring a swimsuit. A towel can be borrowed.

Pets are generally allowed, but it’s important to keep them on a leash and consider the trail’s difficulty level. Make sure to clean up after your pet.

Yes, there is accommodations scattered around the island, often conveniently located near our popular hiking trails. Be sure to book in advance, especially during peak seasons.

Private Hike:

220,00 EUR incl. VAT per hike (half day) for up to 4 persons (family and friends).
Included in the price is the pick-up and drop-off service in my Land Rover Defender (at the same location or nearby), insurance, a professional guide equipped with First Aid and AED who speaks German and English (plus some French and Spanish). Bottles of water, Energhy Bar and fresh fruit. After the hike you will have a small picknick with local gin and local cheese. Also included are photos, videos and a hygene pouch. Fun activities for kids. If needed, entrance tickets.

Group Hike: 

Each trail costs 50,00 EUR per person incl. VAT per hike. Included in the price is a professional, certified guide equipped with First Aid and AED who speaks German and English (plus some French and Spanish).

You can borrow a backpack (including a bottle of water, fresh fruit and an Energy Bar), Hiking poles, snorkel and towel for 19,00 EUR extra.

You can book transport in my Land Rover Defender (pick-up and drop-off service) for an extra 27,50 EUR (per location).

You can borrow a small backpack, hiking poles, a snorkel and a towel. For our group hikes there is an extra charge for these items. See “Group Hikes” for more details.

Sorry, but no. You’ll need at least one adult to supervise.

No – the minimum age for hiking is six.

Our trails are not suitable for women who are pregnant.

If you have a heart condition it is not possible to hike with Trails of Menorca.

No, none of the trails are suitable for wheelchairs.
